The Recent College Grad Career Kick-Start Program

Help for your young adult to bridge the gap between graduation and their first professional success with confidence and a strategy.
SCHEDULE A DISCOVERY CALL

Your child just earned their degree - now what?

The shift from “college” to “career” is one of the biggest life transitions, and can often come with surprisingly little guidance.

While your graduate may be bright and capable, navigating the world of resumes, interviews, and workplace expectations can feel super overwhelming, especially in today’s job market and economy. It’s also not always clear what strategies will work, as the landscape is constantly changing and colleges aren’t consistent with how they prep students.

That’s where focus time with a coach can help your recent grad make positive traction (and possibly reduce tension about the job search topic!).

6 Week Accelerator Program

This program is ideal for recent grads who are ready to take initiative and actively participate in their own job search process. Success depends on their willingness to apply what they learn, but they’ll have expert support every step of the way.*

Together, we cover topics like:

Resume & Cover Letter Writing
Crafting polished, professional documents that highlight their strengths and make employers take notice.

LinkedIn Profile Setup & Optimization
Turning a blank profile into a personal brand that attracts opportunities.

Networking & Informational Interview Plan
Learn strategies for networking and interviewing that work for your student’s personality and needs.

Interview Preparation & Practice
From what to wear to how to answer tough questions, we’ll role-play and prep so they feel confident walking into the room.

Navigating Job Offers & Negotiation
Including how to confidently ask about salary, benefits, and PTO (Paid Time Off), even if it’s their first job.

Workplace Readiness & Professional Etiquette
Real-world tips for building credibility, managing time, communicating with managers, and more.

Goal Setting & Accountability
Because motivation is easier when there’s a mentor in your corner.

*While I don’t promise a guaranteed job offer, I do promise to equip your student with the most up-to-date, effective strategies for navigating today’s hiring landscape.

How It Works

Schedule a Complimentary Mentoring Session

This is a 6-week accelerator program with scheduled sessions every week. If you think your college grad would benefit from working with me, snag a free 15-minute discovery call via the link above. Please make sure your student will also be present.

Start Mentoring

On the selected day and time, we’ll meet via Zoom for a 60-minute session. Your student should be prepared with a few topics they’d like to discuss and a list of their career goals. Don’t stress too much about this part – it simply helps for us to start out with some tangible baseline goals.

Schedule Ongoing Sessions

At the end of the six-week accelerator program, they’ll have the opportunity to schedule subsequent mentoring sessions as needed. I offer different payment options for ongoing sessions to keep it affordable.

Why Parents Invest in this Program

As parents, we all want to give our kids every chance to succeed in the real world. As the mom of two college-aged kids, I can attest to this. The mentoring relationship acts as a bridge to help your student become a self-sufficient adult, coming from a neutral party. Because as much as they love you, they often need to hear this from someone outside the family unit. Mentoring offers structure, encouragement, and expert guidance to build the real-world skills they didn’t necessarily learn in school.

Three months into 2026 and I’m officially a fan of the Big A## Calendar by @jesseitzler
Back in January I decided to try the idea of mapping the entire year visually as an experiment.
Turns out, seeing all 12 months at once is a surprisingly powerful way to plan with intention (and maybe stop overbooking my future self).
Nine months still to go…so if you’ve been curious, it’s definitely not too late to start.
If you want the backstory, head to the Career Insight Studio blog and search: “What Happens When You Plan 2026 the Jesse Itzler Way.”

New year, same busy plate.
Instead of adding more, I’m choosing to get more intentional.
At @careerinsightstudio, my focus for the next 12 chapters is simple: practical insights to help you get ahead without sacrificing your peace of mind.
Here’s to meaningful momentum over a packed schedule and managing life with a bit more purpose this year.
Extra breathing room encouraged.
Cheers to an amazing year ahead.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your work (and yourself) is to step away from it.
Whether it’s a long weekend or a long-awaited adventure, giving yourself space to rest and recharge can bring fresh perspective and energy you can actually feel.
In this week’s post, I’m sharing:
+ Highlights from my Croatia trip (Dubrovnik, Trogir, and a few hidden gems)
+ My “dream bucket” savings strategy: how small, consistent deposits made it possible, plus an investment app to help you save up (with referral link for a discount) thanks to @erikagentry for sharing!
+ What I’d do differently next time, including travel timing and carry-on essentials
If you’ve been craving a reset or need a little nudge to plan your next “someday” trip, this one’s worth a read.
